September has now ended and it’s time to look at the cable ratings for the month for both cable series and made-for-TV movies:

Those ratings are all listed below:

CABLE SHOWS

MONDAYS:

No drama series aired on any of the cable networks during September.

TUESDAYS:

The Haves and the Have Nots – The final episode of this new OWN drama aired on September 3, earning 2.6 million viewers. The series will return for a second season on OWN in January 2014.

Rizzoli & Isles – The final two episodes of the popular TNT cop drama aired during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 3 – 5.9 million
September 11 – 5.7 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 5.8 million viewers for September. The final four episodes of the current season of Rizzoli & Isles will air in early 2014 on TNT.

Covert Affairs – The popular USA Network spy drama aired its final three episodes of the summer in September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 3 – 2.6 million
September 10 – 2.2 million
September 17 – 3 million (Summer Finale)

This averages out to 2.6 million viewers for September. Covert Affairs will return for the remainder of its current season on USA Network starting on October 17.

Suits – This USA Network legal drama aired its final three episodes of this season during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 3 – 3.5 million
September 10 – 3.0 million
September 17 – 3.2 million (Summer Finale)

This averages out to 3.2 million viewers for September. The final six episodes of the current season of Suits is expected to air on the USA Network in January 2014.

Sons of Anarchy – The long-running FX drama returned for its sixth season on September 10, airing three episodes during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 10 – 5.9 million
September 17 – 4.6 million
September 24 – 4.5 million

This averages out to 5 million viewers for September. The next new episode of Sons of Anarchy will aired on FX on October 1 with another new episode set to air on October 8 at 10 PM.

WEDNESDAYS:

Royal Pains – The popular USA Network medical drama aired its final two episodes of its current season during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 4 – 3.6 million
September 11 – 3.7 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 3.7 million viewers for the month. The sixth season of Royal Pains will return to the USA Network next summer.

The Bridge – The new cross-border FX drama aired four more new episodes of its debut season during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 4 – 1.7 million
September 11 – 1.8 million
September 18 – 1.5 million
September 25 – 1.3 million

This averages out to 1.6 million viewers for the month. The season finale of The Bridge aired on FX on Wednesday, October 2 at 10 PM. The series was also renewed for a second season, returning sometime next year.

Law & Order: UK – A new season of the BBC America aired its final three episodes during September, but ratings could not be tracked down for any of them.

THURSDAY:

Burn Notice – The popular, long-running USA Network came to an end in September, airing the final two episodes ever. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 5 – 3.8 million
September 12 – 5 million (Series Finale)

This averages out to 4.4 million viewers for the month.

Graceland – The USA Network undercover agent drama aired the final two episodes of its debut season during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 5 – 1.9 million
September 12 – 2.1 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2 million viewers for the month. Graceland has been renewed for a second season by the USA Network and is expected to air next summer.

FRIDAYS:

Strike Back – The Cinemax espionage series aired four new episodes during September, but the only ratings that could be found were for the September 6 episode, which earned 506,000 viewers. The next new episode of Strike Back will air on Cinemax on Friday, October 4 at 10 PM.

Haven – The Syfy series returned for a new season on September 13, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 13 – 1.5 million (Season Premiere)
September 1.4 million
September 27 – 1.5 million

This averages out to 1.5 million viewers for the month. The next new episode of Haven will air on Syfy on Friday, October 4 at 10 PM.

Cracked – This new Canadian series debuted on the Reelz Channel on August 30 and aired four episodes in September. Ratings for these five episodes could not be tracked down, though. The next new episode of Cracked will air on the Reelz Channel on Friday, October 4.

SATURDAYS:

Cedar Cove – The first original scripted drama on the Hallmark Channel aired four new episodes of its debut season during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 7 – 1.8 million
September 14 – 1.8 million
September 21 – No numbers could be tracked down
September 28 – No numbers could be tracked down

This averages out to approximately 1.8 million viewers for the month. A two-part Christmas themed airing of Cedar Cove is to air on the Hallmark Channel on October 5 and 12.

Hell on Wheels – The AMC period piece aired four more new episodes from its current during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 7 – 2.1 million
September 14 – 2 million
September 21 – 2.1 million
September 28 – 2.1 million

This averages out to 2.1 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Hell on Wheels aired on the AMC on Saturday, October 5 at 9 PM.

The White Queen – The 10-part Starz mini-series aired four more new episodes of its debut season during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 7 – 811,000 viewers
September 14 – 929,000 viewers
September 21 – 859,000 viewers
September 28 – 896,000 viewers

This averages out to 874,000 viewers for the month. A new episode of The White Queen will air on Saturday, October 5 at 9 PM on Starz.

SUNDAYS:

The Newsroom – The HBO drama aired its final two episodes of its current season during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 1 – No episode aired
September 8 – 1.8 million
September 15 – 1.7 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 1.8 million viewers for the month. The Newsroom will return for a third season on HBO sometime next year.

Devious Maids – The Lifetime soap opera aired its final three episodes of its debut season during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 1 – No episode aired
September 8 – 2.5 million
September 15 – 2.5 million
September 22 – 3 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.7 million viewers for the month. Devious Maids was renewed for a second season that is expected to air next summer on Lifetime.

Copper – The BBC America period piece aired its final four episodes during September, but ratings could not be tracked down for any of those episodes. The series was, sadly, cancelled a week before its final episode aired on September 22.

Dexter – The long-running Showtime drama aired the final three episodes ever. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 1 – No episode aired
September 8 – 2.3 million
September 15 – 2.4 million
September 22 – 2.8 million (Series Finale)

This averages out to 2.5 million viewers for the month.

Ray Donovan – The Showtime drama aired four more new episodes of its debut season during August. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 1 – No episode aired
September 8 – 1.2 million
September 15 – 1.4 million
September 22 – 2.1 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 1.7 million viewers for the month. Ray Donovan was renewed for a second season by Showtime and will air sometime in 2014.

Breaking Bad – The AMC series aired its final five episodes of its last season ever. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 1 – 4.4 million
September 8 – 5.1 million
September 15 – 6.4 million
September 22 – 6.6 million (75-Minutes Long)
September 29 – 10.3 million (75-minute Series Finale)

This averages out to 6.6 million viewers for the month.

Low Winter Sun – The new AMC cop drama aired five more new episodes of its debut season during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 1 – 1.2 million
September 8 – 1.1 million
September 15 – 1 million
September 22 – 1.3 million
September 29 – 871,000 viewers

This averages out to 1 million viewers for the month. The two-hour season finale of Low Winter Sun will air on AMC at 9 PM on Sunday, October 6.

Boardwalk Empire – The HBO period drama aired its fourth season premiere on September 8, airing four episodes during September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 8 – 2.4 million
September 15 – 2.2 million
September 22 – 1.9 million
September 29 – 2 million

This averages out to 2.1 million viewers for the month. The next new episode of Boardwalk Empire will air on HBO on Sunday, October 6 at 9 PM.

The 3-part mini-series Foyle’s War aired from September 15 through September 29, but ratings could not be tracked down for any of those airings.

BBC America:

A new 4-part Luther mini-series aired from September 3 to September 6, but ratings for the first night only could be tracked down.

The final 4 parts of the Broadchurch mini-series aired on BBC America during September, but no ratings could be tracked down for any of those airings.

Ratings results for the cable series, the mini-series and the made-for-TV movies that are set to air in October that can be tracked down will be provided as soon as possible in November.
