For anyone who watched the pilot episode of the new CW drama Star-Crossed, you may have been curious about the featured song that was used in the final scene where Roman (lead actor Matt Lanter) saves the life of Julia (series regular Malese Jow), the best friend of Emery (lead actress Aimee Teegarden), the girl who saved his life on arrival day when the Atrians crash-landed on Earth.
The song “Aquarius” is actually a remake of the classic hit “The Age of Aquarius” by the 1960’s band The 5th Dimension.
If you are anything like me, that song has been haunting me (in a good way) since the pilot – which I actually got to screen last summer – and thanks to the folks over at TV Line, we now know the name of the duo who sings it. They are called Digital Daggers, a Los Angeles based duo, consisting of vocalist Andrea Wasse and multi-instrumentalist and producer Jason “Space” Smith.
You can listen to the song here, which is the “official lyric video” for the song.
