The History Channel two-night event Houdini will start on September 1 at 9 PM.

Adrien Brody will star as Erik Weisz (aka Harry Houdini) in this biopic that follows the man behind the magic as he finds fame, engages in espionage, battles spiritualists and encounters the greatest names of the era. The mini will chronicle the life of a man who could defy death through his stunts, his visions and his mastery of illusion.

Kristen Connolly (House of Cards and The Cabin in the Woods) will star as Houdini’s wife Bess and Evan Jones (Gangster Squad and A Million Ways to Die in the West) will play Jim Collins.
