The cast includes Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia), Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist), Michael Raymond-James (True Blood and Once Upon a Time), Rafe Spall (Life of Pi), Henry Thomas (E.T.), Jason O’Mara (Terra Nova and Life on Mars), Dean Norris (Under the Dome) and Marton Csokas (Rogue).
Here is a trailer for Sons of Liberty:

l watched the first episode of The “History” Channel’s, Sons of Liberty. After seeing it, I have to wonder, if anyone involved in its making has ever creaked a book on the subject that was not a comicbook: Hollywood History.
I don’t claim to be much of a history buff or even all that knowledgeable (truth be told), but this mini was definitely Hollywood-ized and I’m sure there are going to be plenty out there who are not going to be happy with the telling of these men’s lives or how our country’s history really played out. Poetic license can only go so far.
The series is Historical Fiction and just plain entertainment. It was very disappointing as far as facts are concerned. Notably, too many important players were just Left out of this telling. Disturbingly, some of the characters were intentionally incorrectly portrayed. This was awful to those of us who know better and an insult to the memory of those portrayed falsely. It is another Hollywood travesty that many sheep will swallow as truth because they know no better.
Yeah, I’m sure a lot of history buffs are gonna upset by this mini-series; and a lot of people are going to “learn” history a like ass-backwards. Sad really.
