CONGRATS
The Golden Globe nominations were announced. Congrats to all the nominees!
CASTING NEWS
Actress Annie Wersching (24) has landed a recurring role on the new NBC series Timeless, she will play Emma Whitmore, a reclusive woman hiding out in a cabin deep in the woods who is of mysterious importance to Flynn (Goran Visnjic). (Deadline)
Actor Kirk Acevedo (12 Monkeys and Fringe) has landed a recurring role on Kingdom where he will play a former fighter and new coach at Navy St. MMA gym. (Deadline)
Actor Adam Bartley (Longmire) has landed a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us, playing Duke, who works at a local horse stable and support Kate (series regular Chrissy Metz) during a difficult time. Actress Alexandra Breckenridge (The Walking Dead) will also recur on the show, playing Sophie, one of Kate’s childhood pals. (Deadline and TV Line)
Actor James Callis (Battlestar Galactica) will recur on 12 Monkeys, playing a time-traveler raised by the Army of the 12 Monkeys who will change everything for Cole and Cassie. (Entertainment Weekly and TV Line)
RENEWALS/CANCELLATIONS
The CW series Reign will end after its upcoming fourth season. (Variety)
The Cinemax series Strike Back is coming back, this time with an all-new cast that will include actress Alin Sumarwata (Neighbours) and actor Daniel MacPherson (The Shannara Chronicles as well as actress Roxanne McKee (Dominion) and Warren Brown (Luther). Rumor has it that the show is “evolving from the buddy cop formula of the original into a diverse ensemble in the mold of The Fast and the Furious franchise.” (Deadline)
