CONGRATS

The Golden Globe nominations were announced. Congrats to all the nominees!

CASTING NEWS

Actress Annie Wersching (24) has landed a recurring role on the new NBC series Timeless, she will play Emma Whitmore, a reclusive woman hiding out in a cabin deep in the woods who is of mysterious importance to Flynn (Goran Visnjic). (Deadline)

Actor Kirk Acevedo (12 Monkeys and Fringe) has landed a recurring role on Kingdom where he will play a former fighter and new coach at Navy St. MMA gym. (Deadline)

Actor Adam Bartley (Longmire) has landed a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us, playing Duke, who works at a local horse stable and support Kate (series regular Chrissy Metz) during a difficult time. Actress Alexandra Breckenridge (The Walking Dead) will also recur on the show, playing Sophie, one of Kate’s childhood pals. (Deadline and TV Line)

Actor James Callis (Battlestar Galactica) will recur on 12 Monkeys, playing a time-traveler raised by the Army of the 12 Monkeys who will change everything for Cole and Cassie. (Entertainment Weekly and TV Line)

RENEWALS/CANCELLATIONS

The CW series Reign will end after its upcoming fourth season. (Variety)

The Cinemax series Strike Back is coming back, this time with an all-new cast that will include actress Alin Sumarwata (Neighbours) and actor Daniel MacPherson (The Shannara Chronicles as well as actress Roxanne McKee (Dominion) and Warren Brown (Luther). Rumor has it that the show is “evolving from the buddy cop formula of the original into a diverse ensemble in the mold of The Fast and the Furious franchise.” (Deadline)

The fall season is nearing its holiday break for the major networks, but that doesn’t mean that the cable dramas are all coming to an end. Here is how all of the cable network dramas fared in the ratings during November.

CABLE DRAMAS

MONDAYS:

NOTE: There weren’t any cable network dramas airing in November.

TUESDAYS:

If Loving You Is Wrong – The final four new episodes of the third season of the OWN drama aired during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 1 – 1.9 million
November 8 – No episode aired
November 15 – 2.1 million
November 22 – 2 million
November 29 – 2.4 million (Mid-Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.1 million viewers for November. New episodes of If Loving You Is Wrong will return to OWN sometime in 2017.

Aftermath – Five more new episodes of the debut season of the Syfy series aired during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 1 – 551,000 viewers
November 8 – 517,000 viewers
November 15 – 561,000 viewers
November 22 – 543,000 viewers
November 29 – 607,000 viewers

This averages out to 556,000 viewers for November. A new episode of Aftermath aired on December 6 with the next new episodes set to air on Syfy on Tuesday, December 13 at 10 PM.

Channel Zero: Candle Cove – The final three episodes of the 6-episode anthology series aired on Syfy during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 1 – 465,000 viewers
November 8 – 435,000 viewers
November 15 – 421,000 viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 440,000 viewers for November. The second season of Channel Zero: The No-End House will air on Syfy sometime in 2017.

Teen Wolf – The sixth and final season of the MTV thriller premiered on November 15, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 15 – 567,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
November 22 – 414,000 viewers
November 29 – 428,000 viewers

This averages out to 470,000 viewers for November. A new episode of Teen Wolf aired on December 6 with the next new episode expected to air MTV on Tuesday, December 13 at 9 PM.

Sweet/Vicious – The new MTV drama debuted on November 15, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 15 – 270,000 viewers (DEBUT)
November 22 – 178,000 viewers
November 29 – 139,000 viewers

This averages out to 196,000 viewers for November. A new episode of Sweet/Vicious aired on December 6 with the next new episode expected to air MTV on Tuesday, December 13 at 10 PM.

Good Behavior – The TNT drama starring Downton Abbey’s alum Michelle Dockery debuted on November 15, airing two back-to-back episodes that night followed by two other new episodes during the month. The ratings are as follows:

November 15 – 813,000 viewers (Part 1 of 2 DEBUT)
November 15 – 746,000 viewers (Part 2 of 2 DEBUT)
November 22 – 644,000 viewers
November 29 – 516,000 viewers

This averages out to 680,000 viewers for November. A new episode of Good Behavior aired on December 6 with the next new episode set to air on TNT on Tuesday, December 13 at 9 PM.

Shooter – The USA Network series, based on the box office film of the same name, debuted on November 15, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 15 – 1.4 million (DEBUT)
November 22 – 1.3 million
November 29 – 1.7 million

This averages out to 1.5 million viewers for November. A new episode of Shooter aired on December 6 on the USA Network with the next new episode set to air on Tuesday, December 13 at 10 PM.

WEDNESDAYS:

Queen Sugar – The final five episodes of the new OWN drama aired during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 2 – 1.7 million
November 9 – 1.5 million
November 16 – 1.6 million
November 23 – 1.5 million
November 30 – 1.9 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 1.6 million viewers for November. Queen Sugar was renewed for a second season by OWN and will air sometime in 2017.

American Horror Story – The long-running FX anthology thriller aired the final three episodes of its sixth season during the month. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

November 2 – 2.2 million
November 9 – 2.4 million
November 16 – 2.5 million (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.4 million viewers for November. A seventh season of American Horror Story will air on FX sometime next year.

Rectify – The SundanceTV drama aired five new episodes of its fourth and final season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 2 – 102,000 viewers
November 9 – 126,000 viewers
November 16 – 116,000 viewers
November 23 – 154,000 viewers
November 30 – 172,000 viewers

This average out to 134,000 viewers for November. A new episode of Rectify aired on December 7 with the series finale set to air on SundanceTV on Wednesday, December 14 at 10 PM.

Salem – The WGN America horrorfest drama returned for its third season on November 2, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 2 – 272,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
November 9 – 212,000 viewers
November 16 – 295,000 viewers
November 23 – No new episode aired
November 30 – 270,000 viewers

This averages out to 262,000 viewers for November. A new episode of Salem aired on WGN America on December 7 with the next new episode anticipated to air on Wednesday, December 14 at 10 PM.

Vikings – The History Channel period piece returned for the second half of its fourth season on November 30, earning 2.4 million viewers. The next new episode of Vikings aired on December 7 with the next new episode to air on the History Channel on Wednesday, December 14 at 9 PM.

Incorporated – The debut episode of the Syfy series aired on November 30, which earned 586,000 viewers. The next new episode of Incorporated aired on December 7 with the next new episode set to air on Syfy on Wednesday, December 14 at 10 PM.

Ice – The new DirecTV drama debuted on November 16, airing three episodes during the month, but ratings for those episodes could not be tracked down. A new episode of Ice aired on DirecTV on December 7 with the next new episode set to air on Wednesday, December 11 at 8 PM.

THURSDAYS:

Falling Water – The new USA Network drama debuted on October 13, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 3 – 348,000 viewers
November 10 – 469,000 viewers
November 17 – 418,000 viewers
November 24 – No episode aired

This averages out to 412,000 viewers for November. New episodes of Falling Water aired on December 1 and December 8 with the next new episodes set to air on the USA Network on Thursday, December 15 at 10 PM.

FRIDAYS:

Z Nation – The zombie series aired four more new episode from its third season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 4 – 867,000 viewers
November 11 – 916,000 viewers
November 18 – 768,000 viewers
November 25 – 1 million

This averages out to 888,000 viewers for November. New episodes of Z Nation aired on December 2 and December 16 with the season finale anticipated to air on Syfy on Friday, December 16 at 9 PM.

Van Helsing – The new vampire-based drama aired four more new episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 4 – 608,000 viewers
November 11 – 679,000 viewers
November 18 – 604,000 viewers
November 25 – 649,000 viewers

This averages out to 635,000 viewers for November. The final two episodes of Van Helsing aired on December 2 and 9 on Syfy. The ratings for those episodes will be provided in next month’s report.

SATURDAYS:

Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency – The oddball comedic, sci-fi BBC America series debuted on October 22, airing two episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 4 – 297,000 viewers
November 12 – 248,000 viewers
November 19 – 240,000 viewers
November 26 – 198,000 viewers

This averages out to 246,000 viewers for November. A new episode of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency aired on December 4 with the next new episode set to air on BBC America on tonight Saturday, December 10 at 9 PM

Versailles – The period piece drama aired the final four episodes of its debut season on Ovation during the month, but only the ratings for the final two episodes could be tracked down. Those ratings were as follows:

November 19 – 173,000 viewers (Part 1 of Season Finale)
November 19 – 139,000 viewers (Part 2 of Season Finale)

A second season of Versailles was renewed and is expected to be back on Ovation at some point in 2017.

SUNDAYS:

Masters of Sex – The period piece drama aired the final two episodes of its fourth season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 6 – 463,000 viewers
November 13 – 457,000 viewers (Series Finale)

This averages out to 460,000 viewers for November. Showtime decided after the final episode of Masters of Sex aired that it was not renewing the series for a fifth season.

Westworld – The new HBO sci-fi western aired four more new episodes of its debut season during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 6 – 1.6 million
November 13 – 1.7 million
November 20 – 1.8 million
November 27 – 2.1 million

This averages out to 1.8 million viewers for November. The season finale of Westworld aired on HBO on Sunday, December 4. Ratings for that episode will be provided in next month’s report. Westworld has been renewed for a second season by HBO and will air sometime in 2017.

Eyewitness – The new USA Network drama debuted on October 16, airing three episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 6 – 568,000 viewers
November 13 – 610,000 viewers
November 20 – 622,000 viewers
November 27 – 610,000 viewers

This averages out to 603,000 viewers for November. A new episode of Eyewitness aired on December 4 with the next new episode set to air on the USA Network on Sunday, December 11 at 10 PM.

The Walking Dead – The 7th season of the long-running thriller premiered on October 23, airing two episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 6 – 11.7 million
November 13 – 11.4 million
November 20 – 11 million
November 27 – 10.4 million

This averages out to 11.1 million viewers for November. A new episode of The Walking Dead aired on December 4 with the mid-season finale set to air on AMC on Sunday, December 11 at 9 PM.

The Affair – The Showtime series returned for the start of its third season on November 20, airing two episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 20 – 599,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
November 27 – 579,000 viewers

This averages out to 589,000 viewers for November. A new episode of The Affair aired on December 4 with the next new episode set to air on Showtime on Sunday, December 11 at 10 PM.

The Librarians – The TNT fan-favorite series returned for its third season on November 20, airing two episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

November 20 – 1.9 million (Season Premiere)
November 27 – 1.6 million

This averages out 1.8 million viewers for November. A new episode of The Librarians aired on December 4 with the next new episode set to air on TNT on Sunday, December 11 at 8 PM.

Berlin Station – The new EPIX spy drama aired four more new episodes of its debut season during the month. But, once again, ratings could not be tracked down for any of those episodes. A new episode of Berlin Station aired on December 4 with the next new episode set to air on EPIX on Sunday, December 11 at 9 PM.

MADE-FOR-TV MOVIES AND MINI-SERIES

There were over 25 made-for-TV movies and mini-series that aired in November most of which were holiday themed. Here is how each of them performed for those where ratings could be found:

On December 14, FOX will air a special sneak peek premiere of the new drama Star at 9 PM.

The show follows three talented young singers – desperate for a new start and with ambitions of stardom – as they navigate the cut-throat music business.

The cast includes Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt as well as newcomers Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady and Amiyah Scott.

NOTE: Star will move to its regular time slot on January 4.
