CASTING NEWS

Actor Erik Palladino (Suits and NCIS: Los Angeles) will have a recurring role in season two of the History Channel series Six, playing Commander Hughes, a hard-charging commander of Seal Team Six, a man with legendary battle scars and swagger. (Deadline)

MOVIE NEWS

It would seem that James Cameron has plans for a trilogy of new Terminator movies that will find not only Linda Hamilton coming back to that cinematic universe but also the man himself Arnold Schwarzenegger. The films are expected to be directed by Tim Miller (the man who directed the Deadpool movie) with a writers’ room that would include David Goyer, Chris Eglee, Justin Rhodes and Josh Friedman. The films will reportedly properly finish the ahead of its time Humans vs Skynet storyline. (Deadline)

The new 6-part SundanceTV drama Liars will debut on September 27 at 10 PM.

On September 27, the new CBS drama Seal Team will debut at 9 PM.

David Boreanaz (Bones and Angel) stars in this military drama that follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high stakes missions our country can ask of them. Deployed on clandestine missions worldwide at a moment’s notice, and knowing the toll it takes on them and their families, this tight-knit SEAL team displays unwavering patriotism and fearless dedication, even in the face of overwhelming odds.

The new NBC drama Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders will debut on September 26 at 10 PM.

This new 8-episode true-crime installment is a dramatization of the notorious murder case that changed America forever. When the Menendez brothers were tried on national TV for brutally killing their parents in Beverly Hills, their story became a national obsession.

The cast includes Anthony Edwards (ER), Constance Marie (Switched at Birth), Edie Falco (The Sopranos), Elizabeth Reaser (the Twilight franchise), Sam Jaeger (Parenthood), Carlos Gomez (The Glades), Lolita Davidovich (Shades of Blue) and Heather Graham (the box office movies Boogie Nights and From Hell) [among others].

While this coming Monday is considered the official start of the 2017-2018 fall TV season, last night’s programming saw the end of summer programming and the unofficial beginning of fall programming on the major networks with two fall dramas airing and the final summer drama coming to an end.

On September 25, the new ABC drama The Good Doctor will debut at 10:01 PM.

Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore from Bates Motel), a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, relocates from a quiet country life to join a prestigious hospital’s surgical unit. Alone in the world and unable to personally connect with those around him, he uses his extraordinary medical gifts to save lives and challenge the skepticism of his colleagues.

The cast includes Richard Schiff (The West Wing), Nicholas Gonzalez (Pretty Little Liars and The Flash), Beau Garrett (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce) and Hill Harper (CSI: NY).
