There were a lot of programming options on the cable networks over the last two months with lots of shows returning with new seasons and others ending with a little over 2 dozen made-for-TV movies airing in February and 7 made-for-TV movies airing in March.
Let’s take a look at the ratings for the dramas first:
CABLE DRAMAS
MONDAYS:
The New Pope – The sequel to The Young Pope aired 4 episodes in February and the final two episodes of its debut season in March. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
February 3 – 198,000 viewers
February 10 – 209,000 viewers
February 17 – 172,000 viewers
February 24 – 261,000 viewers
March 2 – 266,000 viewers
March 9 – 294,000 viewers (Finale)
This averages out to 233,000 viewers for February and March. HBO has yet to announce if The New Pope will be given a second season.
Carter – The WGN America series aired 4 episodes in February and 4 episodes in March, including the season finale of its second season. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
February 3 – No numbers could be tracked down
February 10 – No numbers could be tracked down
February 17 – 110,000 viewers
February 24 – No numbers could be tracked down
March 2 – 56,000 viewers
March 9 – 60,000 viewers
March 16 – 66,000 viewers

This average out to approximately 75,000 viewers for February and March. WGN America has yet to renew Carter for a third season.
Better Call Saul – The AMC drama returned for the start of its 5th season on February 24, airing 5 episodes between the end of February to the end of March. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
February 24 – 1.1 million viewers (Season Premiere)
March 2 – 1.2 million viewers
March 9 – 1.2 million viewers
March 16 – 1.5 million viewers
March 23 – 1.4 million viewers
March 30 – 1.3 million viewers
This averages out to 1.3 million viewers for February and March. A new episode of Better Call Saul is expected to air on AMC on Monday, April 6 at 9 PM.
Dispatches From Elsewhere – The new AMC anthology drama debuted over 2 nights on March 1 and March 2, airing 6 episodes during March. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
March 1 – 938,000 viewers (Night 1 of DEBUT)
March 2 – 352,000 viewers (Night 2 of DEBUT)
March 9 – 240,000 viewers
March 16 – 279,000 viewers
March 23 – 212,000 viewers
March 30 – 228,000 viewers
This averages out to 375,000 viewers for March. A new episode of Dispatches From Elsewhere is expected to air on AMC on Monday, April 6 at 10 PM.
The Plot Against America – The alternate reality period piece debuted on March 16, airing 3 episodes during March. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
March 16 – 407,000 viewers (DEBUT)
March 23 – 395,000 viewers
March 30 – 357,000 viewers
This averages out to 386,000 viewers for March. A new episode of The Plot Against America is expected to air on HBO on Monday, April 6 at 9 PM.
Briarpatch – The USA Network series debuted on Thursday, February 6, airing 2 episodes before being moved to Monday nights on February 24; the series aired 5 episodes during March. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Almost Paradise – The new Christian Kane tropical-set drama debuted on WGN America on March 30, earning 220,000 viewers. The next new episode of Almost Paradise is set to air on Monday, April 6 at 10 PM.
TUESDAYS:
The Haves and the Have Nots – The long-running OWN soap opera aired 4 episodes of its 7th season in February with its final 2 episodes airing in March. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
February 4 – 1.5 million viewers
February 11 – 1.5 million viewers
February 18 – 1.6 million viewers
February 25 – 1.5 million viewers
March 3 – 1.4 million viewers
March 10 – 1.4 million viewers (Finale)
This averages out to 1.5 million viewers for February and March. OWN has yet to renew The Haves and the Have Nots for an 8th season.
Cherish the Day – The relationship drama debuted on OWN with a two-night premiere on February 11 and February 12, airing 4 episodes during the month along with 4 episodes in March. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

This averages out to 1.1 million viewers for February and March. The History Channel has yet to renew Project Blue Book for a third season.
If Loving You Is Wrong – The OWN drama premiered its fifth season (nearly a year since its previous season ended) on March 31, earning 1.1 million viewers. A new episode of If Loving You Is Wrong will air on OWN on Tuesday, April 7 at 10 PM.
WEDNESDAYS:
Party of Five – The Freefrom reboot aired four episodes from its debut season during February along with its 90-minute season finale on March 4. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
February 5 – 236,000 viewers
February 12 – 219,000 viewers
February 19 – 173,000 viewers
February 26 – 188,000 viewers
March 4 – 143,000 viewers (90-Minute Finale)
This averages out to 192,000 viewers for February and March. Freeform has yet to renew Party of Five for a second season.
Good Trouble – The spin-off of The Fosters aired 4 episodes of its second season during February with its season finale on March 4. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
February 5 – 217,000 viewers
February 12 – 183,000 viewers
February 19 – 157,000 viewers
February 26 – 122,000 viewers
March 4 – 100,000 viewers (Season Finale)
This averages out to 156,000 viewers for February and March. Good Trouble is expected to return to Freeform later in 2020 with episodes from its third season.
The Magicians – The fan favorite Syfy series aired 5 episodes of its fifth and final season during February along with 4 episodes in March and its series finale on April 1. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Motherland: Fort Salem – The new supernatural Freeform drama debuted on March 18, airing two episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
March 18 – 462,000 viewers (DEBUT)
March 25 – 379,000 viewers
This averages out to 421,000 for March. A new episode of Motherland: Fort Salem is expected to air on Freeform on Wednesday, April 1 at 9 PM.
THURSDAYS:
The Bold Type – The Freeform drama returned for the start of its fourth season on January 23, airing two episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

February 20 – 129,000 viewers
February 27 – 145,000 viewers

Vagrant Queen – The new sci-fi series debuted on Syfy on March 27, earning 375,000 viewers. A new episode of Vagrant Queen will air on Syfy on Friday, April 3 at 10 PM.
SATURDAYS:
There were no cable dramas airing new episodes on Saturday night during February and March.
SUNDAYS:
Doctor Who – Season 12 of the long-running series aired 4 episodes during February with its season finale airing on March 1. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
