Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On May 16, the season finales of 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star will air on FOX at 8 and 9 PM respectively; while that same night, The Good Doctor will air its season finale on ABC at 10:01 PM.
The season finale of The Resident will air on May 17 at 8 PM on FOX.
On May 18, A Million Little Things will air its season finale on ABC at 10 PM.
The new drama Kingdom Business will debut online on May 19 on BET+. The music-driven series follows Denita Jordan (Yolanda Adams), a gospel superstar who runs an in-house record label, Kingdom Records, in addition to acting as First Lady of First Kingdom Church, who is determined to guard her family and its many secrets at all costs. Just as Denita is enjoying the fruits of her labor, the world she’s worked so hard to put together begins to unravel when an unexpected contender in the gospel music scene threatens her status. Rbel (Serayah) is a young woman on the rise whose checkered past as an exotic dancer is no match for her destiny to turn the gospel world on its head with her new-found voice. The cast includes Micahel Jai White and Michael Beach.
On May 19, the season finales of Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Organized Crime will air on NBC at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively; meanwhile that same night, the season finales of Station 19 and Big Sky will at 8 and 10 PM respectively on ABC. Also on May 19, the season finale of the Paramount+ series Halo will air online; and the 15th season premiere of the long-running drama Heartland will air at 8 PM on UPtv that night too.
The Peacock limited series Angelyne will debut online on May 19. This limited series explores the identity of Los Angeles’ mysterious billboard bombshell Angelyne (Emmy Rossum). The cast includes Martin Freeman, David Krumholtz, Hamish Linklater and Michael Angarano.
Also on May 19, the Netflix original film A Perfect Pairing will debut online. The story follows a woman (Victoria Justice from Victorious and Eye Candy) who, after quitting a dream job, decides to open her own business – and that means having to land a big client right off the bat. She then decides to go all the way to Australia in order to charm a family wine company into getting in business with her. Adam Demos (Sex/Life and UNReal) co-stars.
The Hulu feature film The Valet will debut online on May 20. Movie star Olivia (Samara Weaving) faces a PR disaster when a paparazzi snaps a photo of her with her married lover, Vincent (Max Greenfield). The hard-working valet Antonio (Eugenio Derbez) accidentally appears in the same photo and is enlisted to pose as Olivia’s new boyfriend as a cover up. The film includes Betsy Brandt, Amaury Nolaco and Marisol Nichols.
On May 20, the Amazon 8-episode series Night Sky will debut online. Spanning space and time, Night Sky follows Irene (Sissy Spacek) and Franklin York (J.K. Simmons), a couple who, years ago, discovered a chamber buried in their backyard which inexplicably leads to a strange, deserted planet. They’ve carefully guarded their secret ever since, but when an enigmatic young man enters their lives, the Yorks’ quiet existence is quickly upended…and the mystifying chamber they thought they knew so well turns out to be much more than they could ever have imagined.
The Hallmark Channel movie Romance to the Rescue will debut on May 21 at 8 PM. To impress a potential love interest, Kyra (Andrea Brooks) enters her dog in an agility show. The problem is, she has no dog so she needs to find (and train) one and quick. The film also stars Marcus Rosner and Nathan Witte.
On May 22, the season finale of 61st Street will air online on AMC+; and that same night, the season finale of When Calls the Heart will air on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM. The season finales of NCIS: Los Angeles and S.W.A.T. will air at 9 and 10 PM respectively on CBS also on May 22. That same night, the season finale of the PBS drama Ridley Road will air at 9 PM.
The UPtv movie Harmony in Paradise will debut on May 22 at 7 PM. Amelia, a respected wildlife journalist, is tasked with covering baby manatees in Puerto Rico about to be released into the wild, when she meets a handsome conservationist who helps her discover all the treasures the island has to offer. The film stars Liliana Tandon, Brian Krause, Thony Mena and Vivica A. Fox.
Lastly also on May 22, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Rip in Time will debut at 9 PM. Sarah (Torrey DeVitto) is an organic farmer who meets a man (Niall Matter) named Rip Van Winkle Jr., who claims to be from 1787. Soon, she discovers old-fashioned romantic feelings that might be just as crazy as his story.
