Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On August 15, the series finale of Better Call Saul will air on AMC at 9 PM
The new period piece drama Leonardo will debut on The CW on August 16 at 8 PM followed by the second season premiere of Devils set to air at 9 PM. The Leonardo series recounts Leonardo da Vinci’s (Aidan Turner) extraordinary life through the works that made him famous, through the stories hidden within those works, revealing little by little the inner torment of a man obsessed with attaining perfection. The cast includes Giancarlo Giannini, Freddie Highmore and James D’Arcy [among others].
On August 17, the Netflix movie Look Both Ways will debut online. On the eve of her college graduation, Natalie’s (Lili Reinhart) life diverges into parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and remains in her hometown to raise her child and another in which she moves to LA to pursue her dream career. The cast includes Luke Wilson, Aisha Dee and Nia Long.
The Marvel Universe series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will debut online on Disney+ on August 18. The latest installment of the Marvel Universe, Tatiana Maslany stars as Jennifer Walters (aka She-Hulk), a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases. The cast includes Jameela Jamil, Josh Segarra, Mark Ruffalo. Renee Elise Goldsberry and Tim Roth.
On August 18, the finale of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin will air online on HBO Max while that same day the Australian half-hour drama Mystic will air its season finale of its debut season on UPtv at 9 PM.
The Netflix drama Echoes will debut online on August 19. Identical twins Leni and Gina (played by Michelle Monaghan as adults) have secretly swapped lives since they were children. But their world is thrown into disarray when one sister goes missing. The ensemble cast includes Matt Bomer, Jonathan Tucker, Ali Stoker, Daniel Sunjata, Karen Robinson and Michael O’Neill.
On August 19, the Apple TV+ series Surfside Girls will debut online. This live-action series is about best friends Sam (Yaya Gosselin) and Jade (Miya Cech) as they solve supernatural mysteries in their sleepy California beach town. These best friends must combine their polar-opposite strengths of imagination and logic in order to solve the seemingly supernatural mysteries that hide just beneath the surface of their town.
The new Hallmark Channel movie Dating the Delaneys will debut at 8 PM on August 20. Three generations of Delaney women explore the highs and lows of modern-day dating, learning that love and romance can be found at any age and sometimes where you least expect it. The film stars Rachel Boston and Paul Campbell.
On August 20, the GAC Family movie Retreat to Paradise will debut at 8 PM. Ellie Vaughn (Melanie Stone) tends to cantankerous and injured international tennis star Jordan Greer (Casey Elliott) as he heals from a potentially career-ending shoulder injury. Jordan’s fear of being in even more pain and his lack of motivation has Ellie desiring to leave him in his misery, though longtime coach Neal (Brian Krause) is not ready to throw in the towel on the idea that Jordan will recover and return to the courts.
The UPtv movie The Engagement Plot will debut on August 21 at 7 PM. After getting her heart broken on The Price of Love, a wildly popular dating reality show that matches 20-something female contestants with a young, financially successful bachelor, teacher Hanna Knight (Rachel Boston) has returned to her small-town Colorado life and moved on to better things. But her quiet life is rudely interrupted when Will Preston (Trevor Donovan), the hunk who broke her heart on national TV, shows up unexpectedly with hat in hand – and an outrageous literal proposal.
On August 21, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Groundswell will debut at 9 PM. On the heels of a personal and professional setback, Emma (Lacey Chabert), a chef from Atlanta, travels to Hawaii where she meets Ben (Ektor Rivera) a handsome, reclusive surf instructor whose lessons help her to regain her footing.
Lastly, also on August 21, the new Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon will debut on HBO at 9 PM. Based on the George R.R. Martin “Fire & Blood” series, set 200 years before the events of the series Game of Thrones, the series tells the story of House Targaryen. The Targaryen’s include Bethany Antonia, Emma D’Arcy, Ewan Mitchell, Matt Smith, Paddy Considine, Milly Alcock, Phia Saban, Phoebe Campbell and Tom Glynn-Carney. The series also stars Bill Paterson, Fabian Frankel, Graham McTavish, Olivia Cooke and Rhys Ifans.
