Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On January 30, the new thriller series The Watchful Eye will debut on Freeform at 9 PM with a new episode also airing at 10 PM, the show’s regular timeslot. The series follows Elena Santos (Mariel Molino), a young woman with a complicated past, maneuvering her way into working as a live-in nanny for an affluent family in Manhattan. She quickly learns that everyone in the mysterious building has deadly secrets and ulterior motives. What they don’t know, however, is that Elena has some shocking secrets of her own. The series also stars Amy Acker, Warren Christie, Kelly Bishop and Jon-Michael Ecker.
La Brea will return to NBC with new episodes starting tonight, airing back-to-back episodes on January 31 at 9 and 10 PM.
On February 1, the new sci-fi series The Ark will debut on Syfy at 10 PM. Created by Dean Devlin (Leverage and Leverage: Redemption), the series takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive. The cast includes Reece Ritchie, Christie Burke, Richard Fleeshman, Ryan Adams and Stacey Read.
The new Apple TV+ drama Dear Edward will debut online on February 3. Adapted from the best-selling novel by Ann Napolitano, the series is a heartbreaking, life-affirming and uplifting story about survival, resilience, connection and the examination of what makes us human. The ensemble cast includes Taylor Schilling, Connie Britton, Amy Forsyth and Maxwell Jenkins.
On February 3, the movie True Spirit, based on actual events, will debut online today on Netflix. The movie is based on the true story of Australian teenager, Jessica Watson (Teagan Croft from Titans), the youngest person ever to sail solo, non-stop around the world. The cast includes Cliff Curtis and Anna Paquin.
The Hallmark Channel movie Sweeter Than Chocolate will debut at 8 PM on February 4. A local bakery is rumored to have the secret recipe to finding true love on February 14th, drawing in a TV reporter to investigate. The movie stars Eloise Mumford, Dan Jeannotte and Brenda Strong.
On February 4, the new movie Romantic Rewrite will debut on Great American Family at 8 PM. A talented romance book editor is tasked with helping a mystery writer incorporate romance into the next book in his best-selling series. He volunteers to be her faux date for her best friend’s beach wedding in return for her editing skills. The cast includes Kristina Cole and Russell Quinn.
The 65th Annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS on February 5 at 8 PM.
On February 5, the UPtv movie The Happy Camper will debut at 7 PM. When Dillon’s (Daniela Bobadilla) love life falls apart she returns to her grandfather’s farm in Colorado, where she works with Jordan (Beau Wirick), a handsome hardware store owner, to restore a vintage 1960s travel trailer.
The new movie Curious Caterer: Grilling Season will debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on February 5 at 9 PM. Professional caterer Goldy Berry (Nikki DeLoach) throws a lavish barbeque event for her childhood friend, acclaimed realtor Susie Craig. Later that night, she is shocked to discover that after the event concluded, Susie’s grill exploded and killed her. Goldy’s professional reputation is put under fire when people realize that she was the last one to use the grill. On a mission to clear her name, Goldy teams up once again with detective Tom Schultz (Andrew Walker) to figure out who was behind this mysterious explosion.
