In this four-part drama adaptation of the Charles Dickens literary classic, this new version is set in London in 1782 amid rising tensions between France and Britain, following Lucie Manette, who learns her father—long presumed dead—may still be alive. Charles Darnay, the French émigré who brings the message, is arrested for treason, prompting Lucie to seek help from the brilliant but troubled lawyer Sydney Carton. Their intertwined fates form a dramatic love triangle set against political upheaval.

The cast includes Kit Harington (Industry and Game of Thrones), François Civil (Beating Hearts and The Three Musketeers) and Mirren Mack (Miss Austen and Hedda).
