New Show Introduction: Succession

On June 3, the new HBO drama Succession will debut at 10 PM.

The 10-episode drama follows the Roy family – Logan Roy and his four adult children – who control one of the biggest media and entertainment conglomerates in the world. The show tracks the lives of the key members as they grapple with what the future will hold for them as their aging father begins to step back from the company.

The cast includes Alan Ruck (Spin City), Brian Cox (The X-Men and The Bourne franchises), Matthew Macfadyen (Ripper Street and Pride and Prejudice), Kieran Culkin (Igby Goes Down) and Sarah Snook (The Dressmaker) [among others].

New Show Introduction: Pose

On June 3, the new FX drama Pose will debut at 9 PM.

The series explores the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York: the ball culture world, the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe and the downtown social and literary scene.

The cast includes Evan Peters (American Horror Story), Kate Mara (House of Cards), Angelica Ross (Claws) and James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek) [among other newcomers].

New Show Introduction: Reverie

The new NBC drama Reverie will debut on May 30 at 10 PM.

Sarah Shahi (Person of Interest) stars as an ex-hostage negotiator and expert in human behavior who gets recruited by her former boss (Dennis Haysbert from 24 and The Unit) to help rescue people who have lost themselves in a highly advanced virtual reality system.

The cast includes Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes and Covert Affairs), Jessica Lu (Awkward) and Kathryn Morris (Cold Case).

New Show Introduction: 100 Code

On May 29, the new WGN America drama 100 Code will debut at 10 PM.

This tense crime thriller follows the hunt for a serial killer who targets young, blonde and blue-eyed women, found dead in fields of flowers. Through a special arrangement with the NYPD, Detective Tommy Conley (Dominic Monaghan from Lost) is permitted to observe and advise the Stockholm PD, as he suspects a connection between a series of murders in New York and a death in Sweden.

Upon arrival in Stockholm, he is paired with Mikael Eklund (Michael Nyqvist from Abduction and John Wick), a Swedish cop with an aversion to American culture. Both detectives despise each other, but the two are quickly forced to resolve their differences as the mysterious killings continue. With the vicious killer still at large, Conley and Eklund embark on a hunt that leads the duo down a path of no return.

TV Show Introduction: Patrick Melrose

The new mini-series Patrick Melrose will debut on Showtime on May 12 at 9 PM.

The 5-part limited series stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) as the lead character. The series takes an acerbic and fearless look at Melrose’s harrowing odyssey from a deeply traumatic childhood to his remarkable survival as an adult.

The cast includes Allison Williams (Girls), Blythe Danner, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Hugo Weaving.

New Show Introduction: Safe

On May 10, the new Netflix 8-part drama Safe will stream today.

Michael C. Hall (Dexter) and Amanda Addington (Sherlock) will star in the series based on the best-selling crime thriller from author Harlan Coben. Hall plays Tom Delaney, a widowed surgeon who, after his teenage daughter goes missing, begins to unearth dark secrets about the people closest to him.

The series centers on two women: Eve (Sandra Oh from Grey’s Anatomy) is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 security officer whose desk-bound job doesn’t fulfill her fantasies of being a spy while Villanelle (Jodie Comer from The White Princess) is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her.

The cast also includes Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter franchise).

WonderCon 2018 Day Three Mini-Report

The final day of WonderCon 2018 came to close this afternoon, and the day’s event included a Lucifer episode screening this morning that was to include a special video message from of the show’s stars while this afternoon some of the creative minds behind The CW’s new DC series Black Lightning discussed the hit new show after screening this Tuesday’s upcoming episode.
