The new period piece drama Outrageous will debut online on Britbox on June 18.

Set against the gathering storm clouds of the 1930s, the series is inspired by the lives of the aristocratic Mitford sisters – six headstrong women who frequently made headlines around the world. Yet their lives would ultimately take very different paths – from Nancy (Bessie Carter) who became a celebrated author and journalist, to Jessica (Zoe Brough) who rejected her inherited privilege and dedicated her life to revolutionary causes. A family saga like no other, this is the Mitfords as they really were: unapologetic, outrageous and utterly human.

The other sisters will be played by Isobel Jesper Jones, Joanna Vanderham, Shannon Watson and Orla Hill.

The cast also includes Anna Chancellor, James Purefoy, Joshua Sasse and Toby Regbo.
