Now that July is over, it is time to review the ratings for the cable series that aired last month as well as the ratings for any made-for-TV movies that could be tracked down. Those ratings are all listed below:

CABLE SHOWS

MONDAYS:

Eureka – The final three episodes of the Syfy series aired in July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 2 – 1.6 million
July 9 – 1.5 million
July 16 – 1.6 million (Series Finale)

This averages out to 1.6 million viewers for the month.

Lost Girl – Four more new episodes of the second season of the Canadian hit series aired on Syfy during June. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 2 – 961,000 viewers
July 9 – 859,000 viewers
July 16 – 934,000 viewers

The show moved to Friday nights on July 20 and the ratings list will continue under the Friday night section found below.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager – The ABC Family drama aired four more new episodes of its current series during July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 2 – No episode aired
July 9 – 1.2 million
July 16 – 1.3 million
July 23 – 1.5 million
July 30 – 1.1 million

This averages out to 1.3 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Secret Life will air on ABC Family on Monday, August 6 at 8 PM.

Bunheads – The new ABC Family drama aired four new episodes during July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 2 – No episode aired
July 9 – 1.4 million
July 16 – 1.2 million
July 23 – 1.6 million
July 30 – 1.1 million

This averages out to 1.3 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Bunheads will air on ABC Family on Monday, August 6 at 9 PM.

Teen Wolf – The MTV series aired five new episodes of its second season during July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 9 – 1.7 million
July 16 – 1.3 million
July 23 – 1.6 million

This averages out to 1.5 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Teen Wolf will air on MTV on Monday, August 6 at 10 PM.

The Closer – The final episodes of the long-running TNT series returned on July 9 with four episodes airing in July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 9 – 6.1 million (Return)
July 16 – 6.4 million
July 23 – 5.8 million
July 30 – 5.8 million

This averages out to 6 million viewers for the month. A new episode of The Closer will air on TNT on Monday, August 6 at 9 PM.

Perception – The new TNT series debuted on July 9, airing its series premiere and three new episodes airing in July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 9 – 5.6 million (Series Premiere)
July 16 – 5.3 million
July 23 – 4.5 million
July 30 – 3.7 million

This averages out to 4.8 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Perception will air on TNT on Monday, August 6 at 10 PM.

TUESDAYS:

Pretty Little Liars – The popular teen drama aired an all-day marathon of episodes on July 3 as well as four new episodes of its current season during July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:
July 3 – All-Day Marathon
July 10 – 2.4 million
July 17 – 2.3 million
July 24 – 2.4 million
July 31 – 2.2 million

This averages out to 2.3 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Pretty Little Liars will air on ABC Family on August 7 at 8 PM.

Jane By Design – The ABC Family dramedy aired its final four episodes of the summer on ABC Family during July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 3 – No Episode Aired
July 10 – 1.3 million
July 17 – 1.3 million
July 24 – 1.4 million
July 31 – 1.2 million

This averages out to 1.3 million viewers for the month. New episodes of Jane By Design will return to ABC Family either later this year or new year.

Rizzoli & Isles – Five new episode of the cop drama aired on TNT during July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 3 – 5.3 million
July 10 – 5.5 million
July 17 – 5.8 million
July 24 – 5.6 million
July 31 – 4.4 million

This averages out to 5.3 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Rizzoli & Isles will air on TNT on August 7 at 9 PM.

Franklin & Bash – The legal drama aired another five new episodes during July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 3 – 3.2 million
July 10 – 2.7 million
July 17 – 2.9 million
July 24 – 2.5 million
July 31 – 2.2 million

This averages out to 2.7 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Franklin & Bash will air on TNT on August 7 at 10 PM.

White Collar – The popular USA Network series returned on July 10, airing its season premiere along with three new episodes during July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 10 – 3.2 million (Season Premiere)
July 17 – 3 million
July 24 – 3 million
July 31 – 2.8 million

This averages out to 3 million viewers for the month. A new episode of White Collar will air on the USA Network on August 7 at 9 PM.

Covert Affairs – The USA Network spy series returned on July 10, airing its season premiere along with three new episodes during July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 10 – 3.5 million (Season Premiere)
July 17 – 3.2 million
July 24 – 3.7 million
July 31 – 2.6 million

This averages out to 3.3 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Covert Affairs will air on the USA Network on August 7 at 10 PM.

WEDNESDAYS:

Royal Pains – The popular USA Network medical drama aired three all-new episodes of its current season during July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 4 – No episode aired due to holiday
July 11 – 4.1 million
July 18 – 4.3 million
July 25 – 3.9 million

This averages out to 4.1 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Royal Pains aired on August 1 and those ratings will be featured in next month’s column while the next new episode will air on the USA Network on August 8 at 9 PM.

Necessary Roughness – The popular USA Network drama aired three more new episodes of the current season during July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

This averages out to 2.7 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Necessary Roughness aired on August 1 and those ratings will be featured in next month’s column while the next new episode will air on the USA Network on August 8 at 10 PM.

Dallas – The reboot of the popular 80’s soap opera aired three more new episodes in July. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:

July 4 – No episode aired due to holiday
July 11 – 3.6 million
July 18 – 3.9 million
July 25 – 3.3 million

This averages out to 3.6 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Dallas aired on August 1 and those ratings will be featured in next month’s column while the season finale will air on TNT on August 8 at 9 PM.

The ratings for the new BBC America series Inside Men aired its final two episodes in July. Ratings could not be located for this series.

THURSDAYS:

Burn Notice – The long-running USA Network series aired three more new episodes in July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 5 – No episode aired
July 12 – 4.4 million
July 19 – 5 million
July 26 – 4.9 million

This averages out to 4.8 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Burn Notice aired on August 2 and those ratings will be featured in next month’s column while the next new episode will air on the USA Network on August 9 at 9 PM.

Suits – The USA Network series Suits aired three more new episodes in July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Lost Girl – The Canadian series that is airing on Syfy moved to Friday nights as of July 20 and the ratings for those Friday night episodes are as follows

July 27 – 1.1 million

The ratings for the previously listed episodes under the Monday night section, and the above two episodes averages out to 1 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Lost Girl just aired on Syfy on August 3 with an all-new episode set to air on Friday, August 10 at 10 PM.

Common Law – The new USA Network police drama aired three new episodes in July. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

July 6 – No episode aired
July 13 – 2.1 million
July 20 – 1.8 million
July 27 – 1.8 million

This averages out to 1.9 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Common Law aired on August 3 and those ratings will be featured in next month’s column while the season finale will air on August 10 at 10 PM.

MADE-FOR-TV MOVIES

The following made-for-TV movies aired during July:

The Hallmark Channel movie How to Fall in Love debuted on July 21 earned 1.4 million viewers while the Lifetime movie An Officer and a Murderer, which also aired on July 21, received 2.4 million viewers.

The Syfy movie The Philadelphia Experiment debuted on July 28, earning 1.9 million viewers.

The ratings for the brand new BBC America series White Heat, which aired its final two episodes in June, were not available.

The same is the case for the new BBC America series Inside Men, which debuted on June 20 and aired two episodes in June. Ratings could not be located for this series.

THURSDAYS:

Burn Notice – The long-running USA Network series Burn Notice returned for another season on June 14, airing three episodes in June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 14 – 3.9 million viewers (Season Premiere)
June 21 – 4.1 million viewers
June 28 – 4.1 million viewers

This averages out to 4 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Burn Notice will air on the USA Network on July 12 at 9 PM.

Suits – The USA Network series Suits returned for its second season on June 14, airing three episodes in June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 14 – 3.5 million viewers (Season Premiere)
June 21 – 3.8 million viewers
June 28 – 3.9 million viewers

This averages out to 3.7 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Suits will air on the USA Network on July 12 at 10 PM.

Awkward – The MTV comedy (the only comedy that I will cover in these cable ratings articles) returned for its second season on June 28, earning 2.2 million viewers. The next new episode of Awkward will air on Thursday, July 5 at 10:30 PM.

FRIDAYS:

Fairly Legal – The final three episodes of this USA Network drama aired during June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 1 – 2.5 million viewers
June 8 – 2.6 million viewers
June 15 – 2.5 million viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.5 million viewers for the month. Fairly Legal has not been renewed yet for another season, but it is hoped that the USA Network will bring it back for a third season.

Common Law – This new USA Network drama actually debuted back on May 11, airing two episodes in May and four episodes in June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

May 11 – 2.5 million viewers (Series Debut)
May 18 – 2.5 million viewers
May 25 – No Episode Aired
June 1 – 2.3 million viewers
June 8 – 2.3 million viewers
June 15 – 2.2 million viewers
June 29 – 2 million viewers

This averages out to 2.3 million viewers for the month. The next new episode of Common Law will air on the USA Network on Friday, July 6 at 10 PM.

Magic City – The season finale of Magic City aired on Starz on June 1, earning 500,000 viewers. The series has been renewed for a second season; and is anticipated to be back on the air sometime next year.

SUNDAYS:

Drop Dead Diva – The popular Lifetime dramedy returned for another new season on June 3, airing four episodes during June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 2.3 million viewers (Season Premiere)
June 10 – 2.1 million viewers
June 17 – 2.2 million viewers

This averages out to 2.2 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Drop Dead Diva aired on July 1 and there will be an all-new episode airing on Lifetime on Sunday, July 8 at 9 PM.

The Client List – The final three episode of the new Lifetime drama aired during June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 2.1 million viewers
June 10 – 2.2 million viewers
June 17 – 2.7 million viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.3 million viewers for the month. The Client List is expected to return for a new season on Lifetime sometime next year.

The Killing – The final three episodes of the second season of the AMC drama aired during June (and finally gave a resolution to “who killed Rosie Larson”). The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 1.7 million viewers
June 10 – 1.8 million viewers
June 17 – 1.4 million viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 1.4 million viewers for the month. AMC has not decided on the fate of The Killing as yet, but it is anticipated the drama will return for another season.

Mad Men – The final two episodes of the AMC award-winning series aired during June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 2.4 million viewers
June 10 – 2.7 million viewers (Season Finale)

This averages out to 2.6 million viewers for the month. Mad Men was renewed by AMC for a sixth season, which will air during the 2012-2013 season, but no official return date has been scheduled yet.

Game of Thrones – The HBO series aired its season finale on June 3, earning 4.2 million viewers. The series will be back for a third season sometime next year.

The Borgias – The Showtime series aired its final three episodes during June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 567,000 viewers
June 10 – 621,000 viewers
June 17 – 517,000 viewers

This averages out to 568,000 viewers for the month. The Borgias will be back for a third season during the 2012-2013 season, but no official airdate has been announced yet.

The Glades – The A&E police drama returned for another season on June 3, airing four episodes during June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 3.1 million viewers (Season Premiere)
June 10 – 2.9 million viewers
June 17 – 2.5 million viewers
June 24 – 3.1 million viewers

This averages out to 2.9 million viewers for the month. A new episode of The Glades aired on A&E on July 1 and an all-new episode will air on Sunday, July 8 at 9 PM.

Longmire – The new western-styled police drama debuted on A&E on June 3, airing four episodes during June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 3 – 4.1 million viewers (Season Premiere)
June 10 – 4.1 million viewers
June 17 – 3.5 million viewers
June 24 – 3.8 million viewers

This averages out to 3.9 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Longmire aired on July 1 and there will be an all-new episode airing on A&E on Sunday, July 8 at 10 PM.

Falling Skies – The alien-invasion series returned to TNT with a two-hour season premiere on June 17 as well as a new episode the following week. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 17 – 4.5 million viewers (Two-Hour Season Premiere)
June 24 – 3.8 million viewers

This averages out to 2.8 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Falling Skies aired on July 1 and there will be an all-new episode airing on TNT on Sunday, July 8 at 9 PM.

True Blood – The HBO series returned for another new season on June 10, airing three episodes during June. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

June 10 – 5.2 million viewers (Season Premiere)
June 17 – 4.4 million viewers
June 24 – 4.7 million viewers

This averages out to 4.8 million viewers for the month. A new episode of True Blood aired on July 1 and there will be an all-new episode airing on HBO on Sunday, July 8 at 9 PM.

The Newsroom – This new HBO drama debuted on June 24, earning 2.1 million viewers. A new episode aired on July 1 and there will be an all-new episode airing on HBO on Sunday, July 8 at 10 PM.

MADE-FOR-TV MOVIES

The following made-for-TV movies aired during the month of June:

The Disney movie Let It Shine debuted on June 15, earning 5.7 million viewers.

Hannah’s Law, the Hallmark Movie Channel movie, debuted on June 9; but its ratings could not be tracked down.

The two-night airing of the Thorne movies aired on the cable channel Encore on June 12 and June 13. The first night’s movie called Sleepyhead earned 218,000 viewers. However, the ratings for the second night’s movie called Scaredy Cat could not be tracked down.

The Lifetime original movie Blue Lagoon: The Awakening and the Hallmark Channel movie Operation Cupcake both debuted on June 16; but ratings for either movie could not be tracked down.

Ratings results for the cable series and the made-for-TV movies that will air in July, that can be tracked down, will be provided during the first week of August.
