There was only one drama on all of the major networks that aired a new episode last week. Here is how that one episode did in the overall ratings:

Now that May is over and the 2011-2012 TV season is over, it is time to review the ratings for the cable series that aired last month as well as the ratings for any made-for-TV movies that could be tracked down for May as well. Those ratings are all listed below:
CABLE SHOWS
MONDAYS:
Eureka – Three new episodes of the final season of the Syfy series aired in May. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
May 7 – 1.4 million viewers
May 14 – 1.5 million viewers
May 21 – 1.6 million viewers
This averages out to 1.5 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Eureka just aired on Syfy on June 4 with an all-new episode set to air on Monday, June 11 at 9 PM.
Lost Girl – Three more new episodes of the second season of Canadian hit series aired on Syfy during May. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:
May 7 – 945,000 viewers
May 14 – 1.2 million viewers
May 21 – 1.2 million viewers
This averages out to 1.1 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Lost Girl just aired on Syfy on June 4 with an all-new episode set to air on Monday, June 11 at 9 PM.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager – The ABC Family drama aired four more new episodes of its current series during May. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:
May 7 – 1.5 million viewers
May 14 – 1.4 million viewers
May 21 – 1.2 million viewers
May 28 – 1.4 million viewers
This averages out to 1.4 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Secret Life just aired on ABC Family on June 4 with an all-new episode set to air on Monday, June 11 at 9 PM.
Make It or Break It – The gymnastic series from ABC Family aired its final two episodes every in May. The ratings for all of those episodes are as follows:
May 7 – 1.1 million viewers
May 14 – 1.2 million viewers
This averages out to 1.2 million viewers for the month.
WEDNESDAYS:
The ratings for the brand new BBC America series White Heat, which aired five new episodes in May, were not available.
FRIDAYS:
Fairly Legal – The USA Network drama aired three new episodes during May. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
May 7 – 2.8 million viewers
May 14 – 1.9 million viewers
May 21 – 2.6 million viewers
This averages out to 2.4 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Fairly Legal just aired on the USA Network on Friday, June 1 with another new episode set to air on Friday, June 8 at 9 PM.
In Plain Sight – The series finale of the popular USA Network drama aired on May 4, earning 3.2 million viewers.
Magic City – This new Starz drama debuted on April 6, airing four episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
May 7 – 500,000 viewers
May 14 – 430,000 viewers
May 21 – 470,000 viewers
This averages out to 467,000 viewers for the month. The season finale of Magic City aired on Starz on June 1; and its ratings will be provided in next month’s report. The show was renewed for a second season, which will probably air sometime next year.
SUNDAYS:
Army Wives – The Lifetime drama aired three more new episodes of its current season, including its mid-season finale during May. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
May 6 – 3.1 million viewers
May 13 – 2.6 million viewers
May 20 – 2.8 million viewers (Mid-Season Finale)
This averages out to 2.8 million viewers for the month. The next new episode of Army Wives will air on Lifetime on Sunday, June 24 at 9 PM.
The Client List – The new Lifetime drama aired there more new episodes during May. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
May 6 – 2.5 million viewers
May 13 – 2.3 million viewers
May 20 – 2.5 million viewers
This averages out to 2.4 million viewers for the month. A new episode of The Client List just aired on Lifetime on June 3 with an all-new episode set to air on Sunday, June 10 at 10 PM.
The Killing – The AMC series aired four more new episodes of its second season during May. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
May 6 – 1.3 million viewers
May 13 – 1.6 million viewers
May 20 – 1.3 million viewers
May 27 – 1.3 million viewers
This averages out to 1.4 million viewers for the month. A new episode of The Killing just aired on AMC on June 3 with an all-new episode set to air on Sunday, June 10 at 9 PM.
Mad Men – Four new episodes of the AMC period piece aired during May. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
May 6 – 2.3 million viewers
May 13 – 2.1 million viewers
May 20 – 1.9 million viewers
May 27 – 2.1 million viewers
This averages out to 2.1 million viewers for the month. A new episode of Mad Men just aired on AMC on June 3 with an all-new episode set to air on Sunday, June 10 at 10 PM.
Game of Thrones – The HBO series aired four more new episodes from its second season on during May. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
May 6 – 3.9 million viewers
May 13 – 3.7 million viewers
May 20 – 3.9 million viewers
May 27 – 3.4 million viewers
This averages out to 3.7 million viewers for the month. The season finale of Game of Thrones aired on June 3; and a third season will be back on HBO sometime next year.
The Borgias – The period piece Showtime series aired three more new episodes from its second season during May. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
May 6 – 567,000 viewers
May 13 – 687,000 viewers
May 20 – 554,000 viewers
This averages out to 603,000 viewers for the month. A new episode of The Borgias just aired on Showtime on June 3 with an all-new episode set to air on Sunday, June 10 at 9 PM.
MADE-FOR-TV MOVIES
The following made-for-TV movies aired during the month of May:
The Hallmark movie Kiss at Pine Lake aired on May 20, earning 2.2 million viewers.
The three-night History Channel mini-series Hatfields & McCoys aired on May 28, May 29 and May 30, earing 13.9 million viewers, 13.7 million and 14.3 million viewers each night respectively.
The HBO movie Hemingway & Gellhorn aired on May 28, earning 548,000 viewers.
Jesse Stone: Benefit of the Doubt, the CBS movie, aired on May 20, earning 12.8 million viewers.
The new three-part Sherlock mini-series on PBS aired on May 6, May 13 and May 20; but only ratings for the May 6 airing could be found. That first part of the mini earned 3.2 million viewers.
The four-hour Syfy film Treasure Island aired on May 5, but the ratings for that film could not be tracked down.
The Hallmark Movie Channel film Lake Effects aired on May 6, but the ratings could not be tracked down.
Ratings results for the cable series and for the made-for-TV movies that aired in June that can be tracked down will be provided during the first week of July.

Now that the 2011-2012 TV season is essentially at an end, I will not be posting the nightly overall ratings for the major networks each morning.
I will, however, cover the ratings either bi-weekly or weekly for the major networks based on the new and/or returning shows that will be back over the summer. The ratings for all cable shows and made-for-TV movies will still be posted once a month as normal.
The daily ratings reports will be back this fall at the start of the 2012-2013 TV season.

Given that the 2011-2012 TV season is for the most part at an end and it was a holiday weekend, there isn’t much to report in terms of ratings for the major networks, but there were actually a few new airings of shows on NBC over the weekend. Here is that breakdown:
SATURDAY

The 2011-2012 is pretty much at an end (there are only a few finales left to air next week) and summer TV is ready to kick off soon, and got a little bit of a start last night. Here is how the Thursday night dramas fared in the overall ratings:
