The small screen series adaptation of the box office movie A League of Their Own will debut online on Amazon on August 12.

This version will tell the story of an entire generation of women who dreamed of playing professional baseball, taking a deeper look at race and sexuality, following the journey of a whole new ensemble of characters as they carve their own paths towards the field, both in the League and outside of it.

On August 12, the Apple TV+ drama Five Days at Memorial will debut online.

The limited eight-episode series is based on actual events and adapted from the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink. It chronicles the impact of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath on a local hospital. When the floodwaters rose, power failed, and heat soared, exhausted caregivers at a New Orleans hospital were forced to make decisions that would follow them for years to come.

The cast includes Vera Farmiga, Michael Gaston, Robert Pine, Cherry Jones, Julie Ann Emery, W. Earl Brown, Cornelis Smith, Jr., Adepero Oduye and Molly Hager.
