Hand of God

On September 4, the Amazon series Hand of God will debut online.

The show centers on Judge Harris (Ron Perlman from Sons of Anarchy), a hard-living, law-bending married man with a high-end call girl named Tessie Graham (Emayatzy Corinealdi from Middle of Nowhere) on the side, who suffers a mental breakdown and goes on a vigilante quest to find the rapist who tore his family apart.

There is much more to Judge Harris than that, though. After his son PJ (relative newcomer Johnny Fero) is forced to watch his wife Jocelyn (Alona Tal from Supernatural and Burn Notice) be raped repeatedly, he attempts suicide. Barely clinging to life, the judge’s wife Crystal (Dana Delany from China Beach and Body of Proof) and Jocelyn, know it is time to allow PJ to die. However, the judge believes that his son will miraculously awaken and then he begins to experience visions that the thinks will lead him to the person responsible; someone who has never been caught.

Enter Reverend Paul Curtis (Julian Morris from Pretty Little Liars and Once Upon a Time), a money-grubbing pastor, with a very shady past, who exploits the judge’s grief and Alicia (Elizabeth McLaughlin from Betrayal), who is more than just Paul’s disciple.

When KD (Garret Dillahunt from Raising Hope), a former white supremacist who, too has found Jesus (like the judge), passes through Pernell’s court, the judge convinces KD to serve as his “personal avenger”.

And then there is Robert ‘Bobo’ Boston (Andre Royo from The Wire), who is the slick mayor of the fictional city of San Vicente, California, ruled by generations of the Harris family.
