Apple Mortgage CakeOn April 23, the original UP Channel movie Apple Mortgage Cake will debut at 7 PM.

Kimberly Elise (Diary of a Mad Black Woman) will star in the fact-based movie as Angela Logan, a single working mother with three teenage boys who juggles various jobs and provides employment counseling at the local mission.

When her home is put into foreclosure, she decides to back 100 apple cakes and sell them to save her home. As word of the bake sale spreads, so does her story, eventually making international headlines.

In My Dreams

The new Hallmark Hall of Fame movie In My Dreams will debut on ABC on April 20 at 9 PM.

Nick (Mike Vogel from Under the Dome) and Natalie (Katharine McPhee from Smash) are the perfect couple, but there are a couple of things blocking their path to romantic bliss. First, they’ve never actually met, except in their dreams. Second, they have precisely seven days to turn those sweet dreams into romantic reality.

The cast includes JoBeth Williams, Antonio Cupo (Bomb Girls) and Jessalyn Wanlim (Alex Cross and Scoundrels).

A Day Late and a Dollar Short

The Lifetime original movie A Day Late and a Dollar Short will debut on April 19 at 8 PM.

Based on the New York Times bestseller by Terry McMillian the film stars Whoopi Goldberg as irascible matriarch Viola Price, who learns that her next asthma attack will likely kill her. Because of that she is determined to fix her fractured family before she leaves this world.

The cast includes Ving Rhames, Mekhi Phifer (Torchwood), Kimberly Elise (Diary of a Mad Black Woman), Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls) and Tichina Arnold (Everybody Hates Chris).

A Lesson in RomanceOn April 19, the Hallmark Channel original movie A Lesson In Romance will debut at 7 PM.

Money can’t buy happiness for career-driven mom Megan Mills (Kristy Swanson from Psych), or her family. Even a multi-million dollar windfall from a company merger is not enough to make up for the time that Megan lost with her husband, Mike (Scott Grimes from ER) and her twin children, Sean (Paul Butcher from Zooey 101) and Zoe (Allie Gonino from The Lying Game and The Red Road), while building a career.

When Mike leaves her and joins Sean and Zoe in college, Megan realizes she must take drastic measures to bring her family back together. In order to save her marriage and reconnect with her children, she enrolls alongside them as a college undergrad. Megan quickly discovers that rebuilding her family while surviving freshman year is going to take much more than just business prowess and school spirit.

Lucky in Love

On April 5, Lucky in Love is the new Hallmark Channel movie that will debut at 7 PM.

For Mira Simon (Jessica Szohr from Gossip Girl) it feels like a prank when all of her dreams start coming true on April Fool’s Day. An April Fool, however, she is not: after three of her own tricks materialize, Mira finds herself promoted to the perfect job, dating the perfect man and living in the perfect home. Her huge promotion even allows her to work directly with her professional hero, CEO Erin Billings (Deidre Hall) and her friend, Jonah (Benjamin Hollingsworth from Signed Sealed Delivered), on a massive social media website relaunch. Even though it’s the life she’s always dreamed of, Mira starts to realize that actually living this dream is much harder than she imagined.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Two years after the events of The Avengers, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) resides peacefully in Washington, D.C., struggling to adapt to contemporary society. However, after a S.H.I.E.L.D. compatriot is assailed, Steve becomes entangled in a mystery that may endanger the globe. Together with Natasha Romanoff aka the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Captain America attempts to uncover the growing machination while fending off hired hit men. When the entire scheme is discovered, Captain America and the Black Widow must recruit the aid of the Falcon and soon encounter an unanticipated and powerful adversary – the Winter Soldier. The film also stars Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Robert Redford and Samuel L. Jackson.

Dom Hemingway
Opens: April 4

Dom Hemingway (Jude Law) is a larger-than-life safecracker, who is back on the streets of London after 12 years in prison, and it’s time to collect what he’s owed for keeping his mouth shut. Travelling with his devoted best friend Dickie (Richard E. Grant), Dom visits his crime boss Mr. Fontaine (Demián Bichir) in the south of France to claim his reward. But Dom’s drink and drug-fuelled ego decides what he’s lost can’t be replaced. One car accident and a femme fatale later, Dom realizes his priority must be to reconnect with his long-lost daughter Evelyn (Emilia Clarke).

Draft Day
Opens: April 11

The general manager of the Cleveland Browns must fight to land the number one draft pick for his team. The ensemble cast includes Kevin Costner, Frank Langella, Jennifer Garner, Tom Welling, Joe Manganiello, Chadwick Boseman, Rosanna Arquette, Sam Elliott, Terry Crews, Denis Leary and Chi McBride.

Only Lovers Left Alive
Opens: April 11

After being around for centuries, vampire Adam (Tom Hiddleston) is a rockstar who cannot get accustomed to the modern world with all of its new technology. While he lives in Detroit, his wife Eve (Tilda Swinton) lives in Tangier, flourishing in the new world. But when she senses Adam’s depression with society, she gets on a plane and goes to see him. Shortly after Eve gets there, her younger sister, Ava (Mia Wasikowska), shows up after 87 years and disrupts the couple’s idyll reunion. The film also stars John Hurt, Anton Yelchin and Jeffrey Wright.

Rio 2
Opens: April 11

In this computer-animated sequel Blu (Jesse Eisenberg), Jewel (Anne Hathaway) and their three kids (Rachel Crow, Amandla Stenberg and Pierce Gagnon) leave their domesticated life in the city of Rio de Janeiro for a journey to the Amazon rainforest where they encounter a menagerie of characters born to be wild. Upon arrival, the family comes across Jewel’s long-lost father (Andy Garcia), in hiding with a group of other Spix’s Macaws. But things get worse when they realize their Amazonian habitat is under threat and the Blu and Jewel’s old nemesis Nigel (Jemaine Clement) is back for revenge. Other voices will be provided by Leslie Mann, George Lopez, Jamie Foxx, Rodrigo Santoro, Jake T. Austin, Tracy Morgan, Bruno Mars, Kristin Chenoweth, Rita Moreno, Natalie Morales, will.i.am and Janelle Monae.

St. Vincent
Opens: April 11

A young boy whose parents just divorced finds an unlikely friend and mentor in the misanthropic, bawdy, hedonistic, war veteran who lives next door. The film stars Bill Murray, Naomi Watts, Melissa McCarthy, Chris O’Dowd, Terrence Howard and Nate Corddry.

Heaven Is For Real
Opens: April 16

Based on the book by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent, the film focuses on the story of a four-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor (Greg Kinnear) who experienced heaven during emergency surgery. He talked about looking down to see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The family didn’t know what to believe, but soon the evidence was clear. In heaven, Colton met his miscarried sister whom no one ever had told him about and his great-grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born. He shared impossible-to-know details about each. Colton went on to describe the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how “reaaally big” God and his chair are, and how the Holy Spirit “shoots down power” from heaven to help us. The cast includes Kelly Reilly and Thomas Haden Church.

Transcendence
Opens: April 18

Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp) is an artificial intelligence researcher who strives to create a machine that possesses sentience and collective intelligence. Extremists who oppose technological advancement target him, but their actions drive him toward his goal. Caster also wants to become part of the new technology, and his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and his best friend Max Waters (Paul Bettany), also researchers, question the wisdom of this drive. Caster’s goal to acquire knowledge becomes one to acquire power, and he seems to be unstoppable. The film also stars Morgan Freeman, Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy, Cole Hauser, Lukas Haas and Clifton Collins, Jr.

Earth to Echo
Opens: April 25

When a group of young friends begin to receive bizarre encrypted messages on their cell phones, they embark on an incredible adventure to discover the meaning behind these communications. Soon enough, they realize that the messages they are receiving are from a mysterious being from another world – one who desperately needs their help. The cast prominently consists of unknowns.

The Other Woman
Opens: April 25

After discovering her boyfriend (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is married, a woman (Cameron Diaz) tries to get her ruined life back on track. But when she accidentally meets the wife he’s been cheating on (Leslie Mann), she realizes they have much in common, and her sworn enemy becomes her greatest friend. When yet another affair is discovered (this time with model Kate Upton), all three women team up to plot mutual revenge on the serial adulterer. The cast also includes singer Nicki Minaj, Taylor Kinney (Chicago Fire) and veteran actor Don Johnson.

The Quiet Ones
Opens: April 25

A University physics professor (Jared Harris) assembles a team to help create a poltergeist. The film also stars Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) and Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel).

Dear ViolaThe new UP Network movie Dear Viola will debut on March 16 at 7 PM.

When the writer of a local, obsessively-read, beloved advice column, entitled “Dear Viola,” decides to retire and leave the quaint seaside village of Bellport, seasoned editor Earl Bellamy (Neil Crone) is taken aback. While hoping to keep a lid on this news and his paper going, Earl unexpectedly finds a brand -new “Viola” column on his desk. Earl and his staffers Brian (Adamo Ruggiero) and Peggy (Sheila McCarthy), and soon the entire town find Viola’s new published tone to be refreshing, no -nonsense, funny and wise. Soon mail starts flooding in and using the security camera, Earl discovers the mystery columnist to be none other than Katie Miner (Kellie Martin), the shy accountant who has quietly done the books at the paper for years. Katie agrees to continue writing the column as long as her identity can remain secret. But how long with that last before things start to change.

A Ring By SpringThe Hallmark Channel movie A Ring By Spring will debut on March 8 at 7 PM.

Business consultant Caryn Briggs (Rachel Boston from Witches of East End) is still single at 30, but is in no rush to wed. She’s always been skeptical about marriage, thinking the commitment would mean throwing away her future. She has let a string of steady boyfriends get away in favor of her own freedom. When she attends a fundraising event with friends Gregg (Chad Krowchuk from Man of Steel) and Stephanie (Ali Liebert from Tom, Dick & Harriet), she playfully agrees to have her fortune read at a charity booth run by soothsayer Madame Rue (Stefanie Powers), who ominously predicts Caryn will have an engagement ring by spring or she’ll never marry. Caryn doesn’t give much thought to Madame Rue’s fortune as she starts a new job with friendly, laid-back boss Tom Halsey (Kirby Morrow), with whom she has a lot in common. But when Stephanie and Gregg’s fortunes come true, Caryn worries she might be closer to a ring than she thought, from her uptight boyfriend, Bryce (Chris Jacot from Eureka). With Caryn suddenly very nervous about an impending proposal, Bryce shocks her when he breaks up with her instead, claiming she isn’t marriage material. Finally faced with the truth, Caryn must admit to herself she needs to get over her fear of lifelong commitment.

On March 8, the Lifetime movie The Trip to Bountiful will air at 8 PM.

Carrie Watts (Cicely Tyson) begrudgingly lives with her busy, overprotective son, Ludie (Blair Underwood) and pretentious daughter-in-law, Jessie Mae (Vanessa Williams). No longer able to drive and forbidden to travel alone, she wishes for freedom from the confines of the house and begs her son to take her on a visit to her hometown of Bountiful. When he refuses, Mrs. Watts is undeterred and makes an escape to the local bus station, where she befriends Thelma (Keke Palmer), a young woman traveling home. When Ludie and Jessie Mae discover she is gone, they call in law enforcement to help, but Mrs. Watts is one step ahead of them and convinces the local sheriff to help her on her journey home to Bountiful.
